The standards in cooking were developed by the “French” and are in use today in the most modern cuisine. This class looks at rustic French cooking, or “French Farmhouse Cooking”. A class featuring some classical techniques as an entire meal is prepared including rustic French bread. Truly, an unforgettable gourmet experience. This class looks at some of the more popular combinations and focuses on making and presenting about a half dozen or so “tapas”, A perfect class for those who love to entertain. Specifically for the host or hostess who wants to impress their guests with homemade and delicious goodies instead of the predictable offerings at the wholesale and retail outlets. “A True Southern Thanksgiving”

The holiday season is probably the most celebrated times of any given year. Thanksgiving is most special because of its roots in food and togetherness. This class is perfect for those who want to hone their skills and for those who have a little fear in preparing the perfect Thanksgiving feast. This class develops a timeline for cooking featuring some of the South’s most cherished recipes such as cornbread dressing and roasting a turkey properly as well as preparation of all the side dishes including the best gravy you will ever make. These are just a few of the many things you will learn in this course.


 

“Holiday Entertaining”

Thursday, December 1, 2011 - 7-9 pm $25

This class features several holiday entertaining ideas and offers insights into party planning, buffet preparation, small plates and sit down dinner events. Many recipes are demonstrated and a sampling of several Hors D’oeuvres is featured. Main course items and classics like “sugarplums” are sure to bring back the celebrated memories of Christmas.

Class size of 20 -25 people is recommended.
Pre-registration is recommended because classes will fill up very quickly.
