IHSN, Inc. designs and manufactures equipment for production of ThermaSave building panels. IHSN also sells the technology for its panels. Thermasave is a panelized building system. The system is made of foam panels pressed between two outer skins. The panels are 4 to 12 inch thick cores of expanded polystyrene sandwiched between two half-inch sheets of various skins including fiber cement board. On a construction site, the 120 pound 4 x 8 panels interlock like Legos. A Thermasave house can be framed in a third of the time needed to put up a traditional "stick-built" house without the need of trained craftsmen.
