ARC to roll out new NBIA rural incubation book

The Appalachian Regional Commission will officially unveil NBIA’s latest book, Best Practices in Rural Business Incubation: Successful Programs in Small Communities, at an event next Tuesday, May 14, at Shoals Entrepreneurial Center/Shoals Culinary Center located at 610 West College Street, Florence, AL. The book release will come at the end of a tour of the facility, which will include a client-prepared luncheon for guests.
Among those speaking at the event will be NBIA Senior Advisor Tracy Kitts. ARC and the Tennessee Valley Authority provided support for the publication.
NBIA’s Best Practices in Rural Business Incubation: Successful Programs in Small Communities identifies influential practices or combinations of practices rural incubators use to yield positive outcomes. Sponsored in part by the Appalachian Regional Commission and Tennessee Valley Authority, this publication includes detailed case studies that offer insights into actions rural managers can implement to increase sustainability and improve return on investment for their clients and their communities.
