Food Business Workshop – Tuesday, April 15th 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

Are you thinking about starting a food business with a favorite family recipe or maybe producing a value added product using vegetables from your garden? Join us at the Shoals Culinary Center (SCC) on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at 610 West College Street, Florence, Alabama for an informative Food Business workshop. During this session, you will learn valuable information to assist in starting up your culinary venture. The SCC has been helping entrepreneurs get started with their food-related businesses for more than 10 years, coaching new businesses and providing space in a certified kitchen. Giles McDaniel, SCC Executive Director, and Professional Chef Kevin Kilburn will discuss the regulations for production and packaging, recipe development, marketing ideas, licensing and permits, as well as other pertinent information.
